Evergreen is serving up something special at The Arbor amenity village — pickleball!
We’re expanding The Arbor to include pickleball, a sport that everyone is especially sweet on right now. A combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis, pickleball has captured more than 36.5 million players in the U.S. — a 223.5 percent increase in the past three years, according to the Association of Pickleball Professionals. Compared to tennis, pickleball is easier to learn, slower paced, requires a racquet that’s easier to handle than a standard tennis racquet and has a ball that doesn’t bounce all around the court when you miss it.
And Evergreen residents won’t have to leave the community to give it a try!
But while residents are sure to be excited about pickleball, The Arbor will offer much more. There’s a resort-style pool for lazy summer days with ample seating. Or our young residents might choose to make a splash at the splash pad, with a playground nearby.
The recreation center will have plenty of places for residents to gather, including a fireside nook and lounge areas both indoors and out. We expect the event lawn to be a busy place, hosting events planned by our lifestyle director as well as impromptu soccer games, tag and more.
