Conversation with a friend about career trajectories brought Cameron Davis-Levantino to Evergreen and are we ever glad it did.

The Texas A&M graduate was working at a car rental store while looking for employment that would better suit her anthropology degree. After a friend recommended CCMC, Cameron applied and got the job in late 2024.

“I love my major and the study of other cultures,” she said. “I feel it definitely helps in my position here — Texas is very diverse and I’m loving connecting with the great variety of people who make their home in Evergreen.”

Her love of cultures is rooted in her childhood when she spent five years in Japan after her father, who served in the Air Force, was stationed there.

“I was there from ages 4 to 9 and was pretty good at speaking Japanese then,” Cameron said. “I loved living in Japan — everyone was so nice and so welcoming. It’s a feeling I try to emulate here in Evergreen.”

Cameron started in Evergreen just in time to plan a host of holiday events. Her first was a wine tasting craft night where attendees made fall bouquets. It was soon followed by Evergreen’s first annual tree lighting, an event that featured a performance by the Caney Creek High School varsity choir.

When not busy at work, Cameron enjoys hiking, pickleball, Pilates, and “traveling” through the area’s diverse culinary scene. A favorite spot is Chiba Hot Pot in Houston, which she says is very authentic to what she remembers from her time in Japan.

And talking about Japan, Cameron returned this year to celebrate her honeymoon.

Cameron will office onsite at The Arbor when it opens this spring — make sure to say hello on your next visit and see what upcoming fun she has planned for residents.
